(8:30-8:45
– indoor campfire)

I left the outline as we had planned it and added in how we adapted to the
situations as they came up!
Gas
Bldg. was starting place:
Participants
will be divided into groups of 10 go to THREE stations (there will be duplicate
stations of each activity) then everyone will end up in one place for the
indoor campfire.
Use
glow in the dark glasses for groupings (which didn’t work because people traded
colors parts of their glasses with each other so folks didn’t have solid color
glasses!!). Used a mixer to get them into groups instead.
ACTIVITIES
(2 stations of each)
1)
Sardines – indoor in the dark – semi active (Josh and Megan combine the two
groups to lead one larger game – split back up to send to other stations)

2)
Glow In The Dark Pictionary – play pictionary with glow in the dark chalk (Deb
lead one/Tamara lead other) – chalk glowed but didn’t show up on paper (should
have had a light source to zap the drawings with to light them up). We
adapted this same game to spelling out phrases related to the theme with light
sticks. Worked great.

3)
Glow In The Dark Stories – (Craig lead one/Beth lead one) – glow in dark string
was pretty dim so we adapted (aren’t we glad we are flexible?). Using the
bracelets and necklaces we adapted the following games and they all worked
GREAT!!

singing around the campfire from fun songs into more worshipfilled songs.
Worked great.

Deb
and I both have found the dollar stores to be a great source for these glow in
the dark items – she found the glasses at one, light sticks. I found
great stickers and glow in the dark shapes to decorate with. String and
chalk ordered on line (came the day we left for camp so no time to experiment
with it until arrival at camp).
